Cookies, Analytics & Third-Party Embeds.
Information about cookies and related technologies identified in the current website implementation. We do not describe the website as cookie-free.
Authentication and security technologies
The members archive uses Supabase authentication. The current Supabase client stores session information in browser local storage by default rather than using a traditional authentication cookie. Google reCAPTCHA is loaded for form security and may use cookies or other browser/device signals to help assess automated or abusive activity. These technologies support sign-in, session continuity and form protection; blocking browser storage or required scripts may affect those features.
Analytics
The website includes B12’s traffic script for site analytics. It may collect information about visits and site use and may use cookies or similar identifiers depending on its current implementation and configuration. This description reflects the script present in the site source; the exact data and storage behaviour should be confirmed against B12’s current documentation and settings.
Translation service
The Google Translate script is loaded when a non-English language is selected. The language selector stores a googtrans preference in a browser cookie so the selected language can persist. Google’s translation service may also use its own technologies when used.
Optional tracking and advertising
A review of the first-party site source found no dedicated advertising pixel or advertising network integration. This does not establish that every third-party service is free of its own analytics or identifiers, nor does it guarantee that future integrations will remain unchanged. This page will need updating if tracking or advertising technologies are added.
Managing preferences
You can use your browser settings to review, clear or block cookies and site storage, and configure whether third-party content or scripts may load. The language selector lets you choose the site language; returning to English clears the site’s saved translation preference. Blocking storage or scripts may affect authentication, verification, translation and embedded media. Third-party services may also provide their own privacy or advertising controls.
Consent and review
The current site implementation does not provide a site-wide cookie consent banner or preference centre. This page does not claim that analytics, reCAPTCHA, translation or embedded media are exempt from consent requirements. Whether consent or another legal basis is required depends on the technology actually used, its configuration and the laws that apply to a visitor. The site owner should review vendor behaviour and applicable requirements, including South African privacy requirements, before relying on any consent approach.
This summary is based on the scripts and integrations visible in the site source and is not a complete live audit of every browser request or vendor cookie. Vendor behaviour can change. For details about personal information generally, return to the Privacy Policy topics.
